It helps to answer the following questions before beginning to look for your home:
- Where do you want to live in the Austin / Central Texas areas?
- How big is your current residence? Do you need more or less space?
- Do you want a new or pre-owned house? If pre-owned, how old is too old? Are you willing to update or make repairs if necessary?
- What type of neighborhood or community do you want to live in: Lots of activities or peaceful and quiet?
- How many stories tall do you want?
- Do you have a large entertainment center that needs extra wall space or custom cabinets?
- What are some of the features of other homes that have caught your eye?
- How large of a yard to you want and can you devote time and money to landscaping?
- Do you want a swimming pool?
- Do you have children and if so do they need extra rooms for play?
- What is your preference for school districts?
